Computing Experience @ GreggWilliams.co.uk

Ever growing experience...

Gregg's experience began with solving his own computer issues. With the help of friendly members of the South Wales Computer Club back in 1999 he gained vital knowledge and experience in computer hardware. This led to him building his first computer on a table in a Skewen public house! Around the same time he also gained knowledge and experience in Neath computer stores.

Further to his hardware experience, Gregg used the WWW as a reference to learn web design and within a few months was responsible for maintaining the website between 2000 and 2003 for the Ystalyfera comprehensive school that he attended.

Whilst at Ysgol Gyfun he became familiar with spreadsheets, word processing, databases and commenced programming using Delphi.
Programming and Web Development skills have been expanded upon since university where he studied programming in C, Haskel,Java, Maude, PHP, Prolog and .NET technologies such as c#.
Experience has been gained from Windows 95 through to XP and 2003 in addition to using Linux based systems via the Computer Society.
Previous Web design work ranges from basic information websites to a database driven Conference Management System allowing for users to book and pay online and a document storage system developed as an academic group exercise.

Gregg has also had commercial experience working on an e-commerce website having intergrated Google Checkout as a payment method and the development of bespoke web applications using C#.net, Classic ASP with MS SQL and PHP using mySQL.
